CMSourcing sign Armed Forces Covenant and receive Bronze Award from Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

As a way of confirming our long-term commitment to supporting Armed Forces personnel in the workplace, we are pleased to share we have added our signature to the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC). Mental Health Awareness Week 2024

Mental health is not just the absence of mental disorder. It is defined as a ‘state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realise their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community.’ (WHO). If we were to look over the thousands of photos submitted a few months back for our mosaic wall, used at Oceanology, the overall picture is glowing with positivity. The operations team were recently offered an opportunity they couldn’t turn down, a chance to get inside Fugro’s state of the art training centre in Plymouth. Being office based the majority of time this was a great chance to reconnect with the work and technology our contractors use. 2024 Spring Budget – we’ve found a positive for offshore wind energy!

Whilst there wasn’t much, or any, push from Hunt’s budget relating to how it plans to tackle climate change there was some thought to energy security, further to what was touched on in the Kings Speech in November. As such, to further incentivise renewable energy development to the UK, the key details of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) round 6 auction have been shared. For this latest round there has been a budget allocation worth just over £1bn, £800m specifically for offshore wind. 2023 Renewable Energy Stats are in

This might be obvious, but now the stats are in - 2023 was a big year for renewable energy! The UK Government revealed a 4 year high for renewable energy production. In 2023 alone, this would have been enough to provide power to each of the 28 million homes in the UK. Last year, as a share of total generation, renewables increased to 44.5%, outpacing fossil fuel production. Of this, it was offshore wind production that saw the biggest increase from 2022 to 2023, up from 10% share of electricity generated to 14.5%. CMSourcing donate £2,000 to the Beacon Centre

As we neared Christmas, we come to the end of this #ChristmasKindness Campaign. The final act of kindness in this series of ours is a big one for many reasons. Our final monetary donation is £2,000 and has been sent to the Beacon Centre, Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton (Love Musgrove).
